HEALTHPOINT Electro-Acupuncture Micro-Current Therapy

Electro-Acupuncture Micro-Current Therapy  works on the same principle as traditional Chinese Acupuncture but instead of using needles uses a device which delivers a minute electrical charge via a gold coated probe which does not pierce the skin. 

Acupuncture works on the principle of Meridians - energy lines which pass through specific routes through the body.  Along these lines lie points which, when stimulated, affect the flow of energy along the meridians.
These points have a different level of electrical resistance to the surrounding skin and because of this can be precisely detected using a suitable piece of equipment.  The Healthpoint unit can detect Acupuncture points with great accuracy and combined with the therapists skill an effective treatment can be carried out. 
The Healthpoint unit uses a micro current 3000 times less powerful than a TENS machine - the sensation initially is similar to a mild bee sting which confirms that the correct point is being stimulated.  The intensity is then turned down to provide a virtually painless treatment.
