Q) Is there a socket so I can use my own antenna ?
A) Yes, depends upon location an external antenna may be essential (depends upon local freeview signal strength)

Q) We can receive digital TV but how do you find out if the area you live in has a strong, medium or weak signal, and therefore how this device would work!

Q) Is it easy to record programmes with a timer?
A) Yes, schedule recording from within the software

Q) Can you timeshift programs, record to harddisk and record to DVD (PC has DVD writer) for watching on normal DVD player?
A) Yes, the files can be written to DVD through most versions of Nero time shift,which is a feature of the DVB-T Stick
Q) Can it receive subtitles?
A) Unfortunately not in UK, but it can in some EU areas.
Q) Is your external aerial A57CW compatible with the A93FN DVB-T USB Digital TV Stick ? Will it plug straight in to the USB adaptor, and work?
A) Yes, it should be fine.

Q) Does any DVB-T receiver like this work in other countries (Eg. Italy) if installed in an area covered by the country''s DVB network?
A) Yes the digital service is not confined to the UK most Western European countries have their own digital service.

Q) 1)does it have an EPG (lists upcoming tv shows), if so for how long. 2) Does it receive DAB radio?
A) 1) yes,8 Days 2) yes, it could receive DAB radio

Q) Can you schedule radio recordings?
A) Yes, the DVB-T radios are the same as TV programs Note the radio is NOT DAB but DVB-T

Q) When recording tv to your HDD. Does the software encode the video to take up minimal space since I have very limited HDD space.
A) The encoding is in MPEG format and is compressed

Q) Does this mean that I can watch Freeview channels as well as normal channels (1,2,3,4 and 5) ?
A) Yes, freeview includes standard BBC 1,2 and ITV channels

Q) Is it possible to use other aerials (not the one supplied) with this product? What type of connection would it need?
A) The USB receiver can be connected to a standard aerial by normal coax plug.

Q) Will it record the picture in widescreen?
A) Software options for 4:3 or 16:9

Q)It says I cannot receive Freeview in my area but I got it on my TV and it worked. Would you recommend trying it ?
A) It MAY be OK, but the only answer would be to try it I'm afraid

Q) If I record to a DVD disk, will I be able to view it in a standard commercial DVD player?
A) Only if the DVD disk is correctly written. Check your writing software (eg. Nero for DVD creation) You have to record first and then Burn the DVD from the recording.
