ABOUT THE PLANT YOU ARE BUYING STUNNING HARDY TROPICAL BLUE PALM TREE "Brahea armata" Mexican Blue Palm You are buying a young seedling plant of this, Rarely offered Stunning, Palm. It has Stunning Architectural fan shaped leaves in a stunning Blue, Grey, colour The Photo is of a mature Palm. you are buying a 1 year old seedling. It is in a 10cm pot, the seedling is between 10cm [4"] and 15 cm [6"] tall. And has a least 1 seedling leave, It will be removed from the pot for shipping, and carefully packed. GENERAL INFORMATION & CULTIVATION NOTES One of the few palms that can withstand temperatures of minus 10C. But needs to be kept away from wet conditions in winter. Suitable as a tub plant for patio or balcony. This is a must have Palm for any Garden, or Patio. This is a beautiful, cold-tolerant palm with unusual Silvery blue fan-shaped leaves, this palm can take quite heavy frosts when mature. However, we recommend that it be given some protection when young. It doesn't care for too much winter wet and so it should ideally be grown in a spot sheltered from rain. When planting it, take care to ensure that the soil is freely drained. You may want to raise the level of the planting area above the level of the garden by mounding soil slightly. If you have heavy clay soil, you should dig in large quantities of organic material such as well-rotted farmyard manure, coir or peat mixed in with some sharp sand or grit. Brahea armata likes quite alkaline conditions and may grow faster if lime is added to the soil. Needs full sun to light shade.
