ABOUT THE PLANT YOU ARE BUYING STUNNING HARDY TROPICAL CYCAD PALM TREE SEEDLING. "Cycad Revoluta" Also known as Sago Palm You are buying a young seedling of this Cycad Palm. The Palm Seedling on offer is as shown in Photo 1, we have several in stock, and they are all similar size and quality. Photo 2 shows what the Cycad will be like in a few years time The plant is has 2 to 3 leaves approx 15cm tall, and is in 8cm pot. The CYCAD will be left in the pot for posting. GENERAL INFORMATION & CULTIVATION NOTES The Cycad on offer can withstand UK winters outside if kept sheltered from the damp, once it is larger. THIS IS A MUST HAVE CYCAD FOR ANY GARDEN, PATIO OR CONSERVATORY CYCAD REVOLUTA is one of the most common and most popular cycads. From Japan and Korea, it has been cultivated for centuries. Easy to care for, and undemanding in its requirements, it makes a wonderful and long-lived Plant for Garden, Patio or Conservatory. It is not as slow growing as people say, this reputation comes from the fact that it does nothing for months, then suddenly bursts into life and very quickly grows one, two, five, ten or even twenty or more leaves. This usually happens in June, and the plant should not be moved until the new leaves have hardened, otherwise they may distort. The Cycas revoluta on offer may be planted out into the garden. As Mature plants can withstand quite severe frosts, down to -7C. The young plant will need protection from wet and cold initially Needs full sun.
