HARDY ‘C.C.de FRANCE 6’10” CANE ROD + PERFECT REEL. Hardy' The ‘C.C.de France (extremely rare), 6’10”, circa 1960 trout cane rod, in a Near’ Mint’ ‘New Condition. Number: H:16500 A very reluctant sale from my personal private, collection. This rod for me is properly the finest light, ‘Trout cane rod ever made by Hardy’s. This rod was made around 1959 and The C.C.de France’ rod is a very light rod of great power, similar to rods used with many successes in the Cane Casting Tournaments. Specification: Action: Inclined stiff, for dry fly. Pieces: 2 piece ( same length). Handle: 8.1/4 ins, cork covered, plain shaped. Joints: Splint End Suction. Rings:Agatipe butt and end with snake intermediate. Tyings: Ordinary spaced narrow bands, crimson silk. Length: 6’10” . Weight: 3.1/4 ozs. Reel Fitting: W’ housing and adjustable ring. Container: Hardy’s original, Partition bag, with a Hardys’ hard, tube. Together with an exceptional “Perfect”, “Boxed” 3.1/8”, (circa 1939) Trout, Fly reel, Hardy’s Line Guard, brass foot, complete with £100.00 of silk line, with a Hardys soft reel pouch. The reel is in a superb condition, with no cracks, or wobble, retaining 90% of its original grey finish, in its original box. A perfect match for this outstanding trout fly rod. |
