Queen Victoria & Albert
An unusual item, a Brass Box with 4 Type Tokens within, each has polished fields though some are worn in parts, all depicting Queen Victoria's Family, and achievements as a nation.
1st Token:-
Reverse:- Britannia And Lions with title of "Europes Glory" Obverse:- Depicts Birth Date.Crowning Date &Marriage Date of H.R.H. Queen Victoria, & Albert, with Young Gothic Style Vicoria Bust.
2nd Token
Reverse:- "The Royal Family Busts with the names of Her Children.
Obverse:-
A List of The Royal Couple and Childrens names, with dates of Birth of All of them.
3rd Token:-
Reverse:-
"The Wooden Walls of Old England" with what looks like H.M.S. Victory Horatio Nelsons Flagship.
Obverse:-
"Britains Hope" with a Young Sailor in old time uniform of the time, leaning on the Huge Anchor Words below have been badly cast? as shown in photographs supplied.
Reads "The Prince of Wales"
4th Token:-
Reverse:-
"Englands Pride"
And depicts all that made England Great, Steam Railway, Artists Pallete, Farming Implements, Pottery, Music, Masonry Tools, Engineering, Etc Etc.
Obverse:-
H.R.H. Prince Alberts Bust, with The Dates of Birth AndMarriage to Queen Victoria.
So all in all a real collection to be proud of, all busts etc are in very proud relief.
The Tokens seem to be a light metal of some sort, and size:- 27 mm
Box Diameter:-28 mm
And 10 mm Thick
