Guinness Waistcoat Buttons

GUINNESS WAITCOAT BUTTONS

These are a fantastic item!

Consisting of six buttons which feature the following Guinness characters from their advertising campaigns:

Zoo keeper with a pint of Guinness

Ostrich with a pint stuck in his neck

Kangaroo with a Guinness in his pouch

Seal balancing apint of Guinness on his snout

Tortoise with aq pint of guinness on his shell

Toucan standing beside a pint of Guinness

These buttons are in the original box, and on the original backing card, which states "with the compliments of GUINNESS"

I believe these are from the 1950's and given as a gift to selected landlords.

The colours are vibrant and the white background has not faded at all, although there is some rubbing to the gilt on the top edge the buttons, as you would expect with items of this age!
