Grundig TK120 /140 Series Reel to Reel Tape Recorder Belts and Repair Manual

The complete kit of parts including 3 belts and a fully illustrated, step by step instruction manual describing how to repair these popular recorders.

The most common problem is that the drive belts stretch or snap and need to be replaced. This kit contains the answer, it also includes a replacement tape control lever roller as they often break causing the main control lever to jam.

The kit is suitable for all of the versions including the TK120, TK121, TK124, TK125, TK126, TK 140, TK141, TK144, TK145, TK146, TK147 TK148* and TK149. All of the Deluxe and Luxe versions are included.

* - If you have a TK148 please let me know when ordering as the belts are slightly different. I will supply the correct ones at no extra charge. The TK148 is a 2 speed machine.

The manual covers all aspects from dismantling and replacement through to cleaning and lubrication. It is full of hints, tips and ideas, diagrams and photos, it contains all the information you will need and explains the best way to go about it.

Importantly, it contains vital details such as how to dismantle the machine correctly without damaging anything and which screws not to remove to prevent irreparable damage. - Undo the wrong screws and these machine will collapse like a pack of cards making it virtually impossible to realign all the components.

You will need a few tools such as screwdrivers and so on; None of the tasks requires specialist skills, Common sense and very basic electrical / mechanical knowledge are required. If you can’t put a 13A plug on then this is probably not for you. I can repair machines to order as required.
