The Gretsch G6128T Duo Jet is a part of the Gretsch Solid Body professional collection/custom edition range of instruments made in their Japanese facility.
A stunning instrument from Gretsch. The Duo Jet features a semi hollow Mahogany body which gives the guitar greatly reduced weight and is surprisingly light for a Les Paul sized instrument. Tone wise the guitar has a vintage holllow body vibe with loads of resonance. This is capped off with the excellent Gretsch FilterTron pick ups for all that retro warm tone and sustain.

Sonic boom... the classic Gretsch Duo Jet traces its lineage to the earliest days of Rock music. Similar to models of the late '50s, today's Duo Jet features dual High Sensitive Filtertron™ pickups, "tone switch" circuitry, ebony fingerboard with Neo-Classical "thumbnail" inlays, Space Control bridge and Gretsch by Bigsby® B3C Vibrato tailpiece.

The Filter'Tron "Electronic Guitar Head" was introduced in 1957 at the summer NAMM show in Chicago. Filter'Tron pickups feature dual-coils and are designed to Filter out the elecTronic hum normally associated with single-coil pickups, while adding a warmer tone, and a significant increase in output and sustain.
