This is an excellent piece of Hand Craft, well worth the money, made in very high quality British pewter with a little silver added into the mix! Its one of several items in the same theme, Green Man Belts, Pendants, Door Knocker and coming very soon, a wonderful candle holder with the same collection of woodland leaves.

The Green Man is a pagan image that has appeared in carvings and paintings across Europe for centuries.
He is also known as Father Nature, Jack-In-The-Green and Herne the Hunter, and represents the spirit and natural energy present in all growing trees, flowers and plants.

His benevolent face peering through the foliage reminds us of our connection with the natural world.

This finely detailed door knocker is made from hiqh quality lead-free pewter and measures approx. 7 1/2" x 3". Each one is individually antiqued and polished by hand. It fits easily to any door with the screws supplied.
