This auction is for a Goodmans tweeter for the illusive Achromat Loudspeaker range (it was used in the Achromat Beta, Achromat Kappa, and Achromat Sigma).

Please note: the soft dome of this tweeter is cosmetically damaged and as a result its frequency response has been impaired (read on for details).

This Goodmans tweeter is a soft dome radiator with physical appearance and dimensions identical to the more common Goodmans DT3 and DT4 units which were used in many Goodmans loudspeakers during the 1970's (including the Minister, Mezzo, Magnum, Magister, Dimension 8, etc).

Specifications:
Type: 1-inch soft dome radiator
Frequency range: up to 23kHz (at -5dB)
Nominal impedance: 8 ohms (it measures 7.2 ohms DCR on my multimeter)
Dimensions: 65mm inner front baffle diameter, 95mm outer front baffle diameter, 70mm rear magnet diameter

This tweeter was recently removed from a Kappa loudspeaker with an open-circuit bass driver ((please see my other auctions for the 2nd tweeter, corresponding crossovers, and cabinets).

Sadly, this particular tweeter is NOT in perfect working order.

It does work, however its frequency response has been impaired to a degree, presumably as a result of its dome being dented (see photo).
The best way I can describe the sound is warmer and less crisp that it should be.

If you have a listening environment in which sound matching between loudspeakers is critical, you may prefer to purchase the fully functional Achromat tweeter advertised in my other auction.
