BEAUTIFUL  GEORGE III  MAHOGANY LINEN PRESS    C 1760

A Beautiful Georgian Mahogany Linen Press .   This Linen Press has a lovely  warm colour  and beautiful flamed Mahogany Figuring and over the years has gained lovely patination . It is a very good size Smaller than your average Linen Press and the proportions are excellent . A very useful piece of furniture it consists of  five Linen slides   and four Large drawers at the bottom . This Piece has been french polished and restored so you have no missing veeners or chips .Like any Antique there are some minor distress marks  ,and there is also a slight warp on the right hand door , which personally i think add to its character .The Handles are a Later Addition . The Inside is in original condition and has been used well , as to be expected after 200 or so years , the slides are fully practical .  The Linen Press seperates in two pieces for eas transportation and installation . Would look beautiful in any traditional or contempoary home ..
