This is an Arts and crafts mirror back sideboard dating to about 1880. It is made in golden oak and is very typically arts and crafts influenced in the choice of wood, the large Arts and Crafts/Art nouveau handles and the design carved into the cupboard doors. There is something "country" about the sideboard with everything solid and rustic in feel. The mirror back has turned and fluted columns to support the cornice above. A shaped shelf. The mirror glass is a replacement and is perfect. This is a very attractive piece if you are furnishing in the arts and crafts and would sit equally well in a dining room or on a flagged kitchen floor. The sideboard has good storage space and the only faults I can find in it is two expansion cracks running down both sides - see photo - and tiny replacement handles on cupboard doors

The sideboard is 48 inches wide and 18 inches deep and stands 37 inches high with the mirror a further 37 inches higher still.
