This is a GPO №404 plug, from 1944, in very good condition. These were used on early 'plan' arrangements that required a plug and socket, and also were extensively used on switchboards for connection of the operator's headset or handset. It is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks to the bakelite, and with all its screws present.
