Exceptional high graded scarce silver (0.5210) coin struck within a set from 1822 to 1840. Friedrich Wilhelm IV ruled from 1841 to 1845. To note the coinage of this piece was at Berlin Mint. The Kingdom of Prussia (Germany States), located in North Central Germany, came into being in 1701. The ruler received the title of King in Prussia in exchange for his support during the War of the Spanish Succession. Frederich Wilhelm III ruled from 1797 to 1840. Yhis coin was coined at Berlin Mint. During the Napoleonic Wars, Prussia allied itself with Saxony. When they were defeated in 1806 they were forced to cede a large portion of their territory. In 1813 the French were expelled ad their territories were returned to them plus additional territories. After defeating Denmark and Austria, in 1864 and 1866, they acquired more territory. Prussia was the pivotal state of unification of Germany in 1871, and their King (Whilhelm I) was proclaimed emperor of all Germany . 1st.World War (1914/1918) brought an end to the Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia in 1918. |
