German Silver Tray Oval 800 Standard Reeded Sides

This is a German Silver Oval Tray.  It has a reeded pattern to the sides and has a plain base.  It is made from a good guage of silver with clear marks.   

Idenitfying Marks: It is stamped with the half moon anbd crown "800" and another mark with a prancing unicorn facing left in it                

Dimensions:   11 inches long and 6.5 inches wide at its widest point.  It weighs 256g       

Condition:     Overall it is in good condition but there are a few minor dings in the plain base and some surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item           

Remarks:     This is a good German silver oval tray, ideal for serving buffet food or drinks and when not in use makes a nice display item for perhaps keeping little glasses on   

Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used.  Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark.  I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in "as new condition".
