Description: This is a lovely quality early 20th Century Edwardian Georgian Revival mahogany and satinwood inlaid, boxwood and ebony strung two door washstand. The washstand retains its original finish standing on its original steel castors with square taper boxwood strung legs over, having two satinwood cross-banded and boxwood strung doors with solid mahogany door frames, with solid mahogany panels with lovely matched inlays. The washstand retains its original matched brass handles with swivel toggles which open the two separate compartments on either side. The washstand has a solid mahogany top with a moulded edge with boxwood and ebony stringing with satinwood cross-banding and a matched satinwood cross-banded ebony and boxwood strung gallery back. Behind the doors are separate compartments. A lovely quality piece of antique furniture. Date: The washstand dates circa 1900.
Condition: The main carcass of the washstand is in good condition, with just some minor wear consistent with age and use and only adding to character and authenticity.
