Georgian Oak Corner Cupboard ca 1780

 This beautiful Georgian oak corner cupboard has a moulded cornice above a central panelled door with brass H hinges, brass key escutcheons, key and working lock. The interior has three shaped shelves. The piece has canted corners, a moulded lower edge and some later beading. The piece is a medium/dark oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Items of this age and quality are becoming very rare to find and they are not just a beautiful piece of furniture but also a very good investment. A piece of furniture of this quality should sell for around £800. In a London antique shop it would have a price tag of well over £1000.
