Edition number 24 of 45, released 2007 and is now sold out. Measures 34" x 34".
The artwork begins as a single sheet of black powder coated steel which George folds by machine to give the impression of an open street wrap of cocaine, next he paints Pacino's "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guy" face across the middle in brilliant white, with highlights across the edges. George then individually sculptures two large sections of three dimensional cocaine that is attached diagonally across the piece which has been treated and dusted with crushed crystal to give that sparkle effect.
Real £ 50 notes are then cut and added to the cocaine pieces as a testament to the money involved with the drug today and gives a fantastic finish to the 3-D element. Finally, George takes the finished artworks to his local gun club whereby the metalwork's are shot by a hand gun to give the bullet holes and dents a degree of realism. A fantastic addition to any Ioannou collection.
I will be very sad to lose this fantastic piece of art but unfortunately it is having to be sold due to a separation. The piece was bought from The Smart Gallery, Batley and comes with it's COA, insurance valuation, the spent bullets cases and it's original packaging. If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to contact me and I will endeavour to answer them ASAP.
