Very padded back so therefore very comfy when full and doesn’t hurt like a normal rucksack, the back has airflow so your back doesn’t get too hot whilst wearing it. Straps have a small reflective strip so good if out in the dark. 3 front pockets and 2 larger ones. The quality of Gelert bags is really good and they last for years, my son was given another one shortly after this hense the sale of this one. The bag is used but in good condition.
