Victorian Sterling Silver Coffee Pot Made in London, by Robert Garrard in 1861. A Superb Victorian Sterling Silver Hot Water Jug. Made by in London, in 1861, by Robert Garrard. A Heavy Water Jud of Lobed Baluster Form. With a Scroll handle and Knop Finial. Crested to the side. Gilt interior. Very good quality coffee pot in very good order, made in a heavy gauge of silver by a famous silversmith whose dynasty lasts to this day. Engraved with a crowned rampant lion. So clearly has some Aristocratic or possibly Royal Connection and history. This pot of very good proportion and design. Robert Garrard First mark entered 1816 in Panton Street. The firm was appointed Goldsmiths and Jewellers to the King in 1830 and has been held in this appointment to the Royal Family to this day. Condition: The Marks: Well Struck. Hallmarked to the base and to the handle. The Water Jug: Very Good. No Splits, dents or repairs. Slight wobble. Hallmarks:
