Caution: This is a Lloyds and WBS Approved Gelcoat. Other systems on eBay may not have these attributes which are rather important in Marine Repair, Automotive Repair and more. Things will be fine right up to the point your insurers reject your claims for failure to use Lloyds Approved Systems. Other systems sold cheap WILL BE BLENDED Resin/Gelcoat.

An excellent quality unpigmented (clear in thin layers) Marine Grade Polyester Gelcoat.

Used primarily as a topcoat or as a first coat in traditional lamination. This is a very thixotropic polyester that will stick to verticals and overhangs. It is not for the wetting out of chopped strand mat! Product is Lloyds and Water Bylaws Scheme Approved!!

A gelcoat layer gives a workable topcoat that may be compounded to give a glossy finish. Its frequently used in the manufacture of laminated parts where the glass fibre elements need to be hidden. eg Motorcycle Fairings, Boat Hulls etc

Although this kit is for clear gelcoat, white or black gelcoat is available via our pigmenting service. Search for TOMPS Pigmenting Upgrade and follow the item instructions in the description.

If you will be using this product to repair then you will need a flowcoat to topcoat with. This is easy, just add wax additive for this purpose. Search for TOMPS Flowcoat Upgrade and follow the instructions. this would be the case when installing flat roofs, ponds or repairing existing GRP.

Cured via an MEKP catalyst, supplied in the price, added at a ratio of 3%. Of course if you want to reduce exotherm further you may add at 1.5%.
