Instrument: Bouzouki/ MandolaSub-Type: Acoustic

Greek bouzouki needing some tlc.  This instrument belonged to my father-in-law but other than that I know nothing about it.  It has a rounded back and is decorated with some beautiful tortoiseshell and mother of pearl on the body.  Also has mother of pearl position markers on the neck.  Unfortunately there is no bridge saddle and therefore no strings. There is no make indicated (although I have looked everywhere).  Comes with original brown vinyl /canvas case.

 The woodwork is quite scratched in places but this would restore to a lovely instrument for the right buyer.

A: There are no cracks or splits that I can see, only some minor surface scratches.

 Q: How straight is the neck? Any clues as to its age? How far back can you trace your father-in-law owning it?
A: On looking down the neck it appears to be straight as far as I can see. I understand from my husband that his father had it from the mid-1970's but he cannot be any more specific than that.
