Description Washington, DC punk band Government Issue is captured here at the height of its glory, performing two live shows duringa 1985 California tour. Tight shots and grainy film footagere-create the raw energy and intensity of the band's music and the general atmosphere of the 1980s American punk rock scene. LIVE 1985 also displays the comic skills of singer John Stabb, whose magnetic stage presence highlights two sets largely drawn from the albums JOY RIDE and THE FUN JUST NEVERENDS. Taking the stage at the Fenders Ballroom on June 3rd and at the Olympic Auditorium on August 9th, Government Issue performs over 25 songs including "Sheer Terror," "4 Wall Hermit," and "Puppet on a String."
