GORGEOUS ANTIQUE FRENCH WAX FLOWER WEDDING CORSAGE

I have been lucky enough to truffle out a box brimming with gorgeous flower corsages dating from the late 1800s. All unused and still with their original old sepia ink written labels there are some delicious linen, velvet and some wax creations. I shall be listing them as the week goes on.

This is a fabulous wax wedding corsage or hat decoration made up of an amazing wax petalled orchid type flower surrounded by wax buds above and trailing buds below. There are also a couple of old tea coloured leaves.

The ivory cream wax flower has an intricate centre with very slight pink touches to enhance it. The bids are white and the stems and leaves all old tea coloured.

A stunning and genuine old piece for any occasion that could be incorporated into any vintage style wedding  for the tradition of " something old something new".

The old label carries a hand written stock number.

Measuring 6" high by 3" across ( 15cms x 7.5cms) this 19th century French corsage has perfect vintage appeal with a look attained from the passage of time that simply could not be reproduced.

A beautiful period confection for any textile or costume addict.
