A 3 - 125mm hole cutter can usually cost in excess of £8-£135   in plumbers merchants to drill through masonry and concerete and brick.

What do you use for tiles and glass????

This super  diamond core drill has a  range of sizes  from 1/8 inch to 4 inches   {3mm to 125mm} 

one 16 or 18, or 22mm   core drill per purchase but I will give a discount on multiple purchases.

The picture shown is 30mm which is good for fitting bathroom tile fitted showers or  toilet or heating pipwork or drains

The second picture is a hole in a slate tile used for both walls and floors with some of the stock I carry. 1mm to 45mm.

These core drill bits have diamond crust around and in the core and have a typical split down the more common larger core drill bits that we use to give that cutting edge.

Once used you will never use another core drill to go through a tile or use a DIY pointed glass drill  on a mirror again. 

No hammer action required and a soft easy gentle push and it cuts through tiles and mirrors like butter with no rough edges and messy centering.

You just use about 4 layers interlocked of masking tape or tape a piece of cardboard or  hardboard to get the  grip and the core bit drives straight through with no wavering or slipping.

It would be a snip if you had a portable drill press for your portable drill.

I would say perhaps you could get as many as 20  holes judging by the wear on 6 holes I have done.

I have laid in the picture the tile holes I did, the core piece on the side,  in both the tile  laid on the mirror beside my 24 VDC drill. 

Most mirrors and tiles are prone to cracking but on a soft base it just whizzed clean through.
