This sale is for "Girl's Talk", a brand new pack of magnetic favourite girl's words to compliment the National Literacy range.

The National Literacy Strategy is at the heart of the drive to raise standards in schools.

This magnetic word set contain 56 favourite 'girlie' words, such as dancing, doll, lipstick, shoes, glitter etc. to be used on their own or in conjunction with the other sets in the National Literacy range.

You can stick them on the fridge/freezer or on a magnetic board within easy reach of your child so that they can become familiar and play with these important words. The font used for these words is a cursive handwriting font, as preferred by teachers. The words can be used to copy from and used to encourage correct letter formation and handwriting. 

When children play with these magnetic words, they don’t realise that they are learning.

A recent government report showed that -

• Young children learn most effectively through multi-sensory play
• Children who are confident readers go on to become confident writers
• Children who read and write well tend to be above average in other academic subjects

IMPORTANT - to make sensible sentences, you will also need the words in the Reception set (also found in my Ebay shop) as there is no repetition of the words between the sets. The words in the Years 1&2 sets are highly recommended for the same reason.

Me as a Mother - My Personal Experience
After many happy hours playing with and learning the Reception words, our 4 year old daughter has now started making sentences with the words for Years 1&2. Without knowing it, she has learnt sentence construction, grammar and correct letter formation - all whilst having fun.

As a Mother, I cannot recommend these magnetic words highly enough. They have fired a love for reading and writing in my daughter that I’m sure will be of benefit to her for many years.

I’ve also found that they’re not just for the kids. Many adult visitors have had great fun playing with them too!

DELIVERY INFORMATION

P&P is FREE for this item for standard 2nd Class Royal Mail delivery within mainland UK. 1st class and Registered (signed for) postage are also available at a small extra charge (see postal fees below). Sadly, due to a few dishonest buyers, claims for non-delivery of goods (i.e. lost in the post) will no longer be automatically replaced / refunded. However, I obtain proof of posting for all orders and will work with the Post Office to locate your missing goods or obtain compensation from them on your behalf. Please be reassured that I will do everything I can to ensure you receive what you have paid for. Items are dispatched most weekdays (family life permitting!) If you pay for an item before 1pm I can sometimes dispatch the same day. I rarely get to the Post Office on Saturday mornings so if you buy an item on Friday afternoon, please note that it may not be posted until Monday morning. PLEASE CHECK YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS WHEN PAYING!! Items will be posted to your registered PayPal address unless previously agreed otherwise. If this address is incorrect and the item is returned as undelivered you will have to pay the additional postage costs to re-send the item.  However, this will be slightly less than the original postage cost as it will not include packaging. I cannot accept responsibility for the item if it is not returned to me or is lost due to you providing a wrong address. In these cases I cannot offer a refund or send a replacement item.
