Hi, my name is Simon Catherall and I've been in the guitar business for approximately 35 years. My first 'proper' guitar was a secondhand Burns, which I still own and enjoy. It was, what one might call, 'vintage' when I acquired it all those years ago, and it fired my curiosity for other old and interesting instruments.
Having run my own music store for the past 20 years, specialising in buying and selling vintage and rare guitars, amassed a collection of over 500 vintage guitars, not to mention amps, effects, memorabilia etc., and sold over 1000 guitars here on eBay, I feel qualified to offer you my best possible help and advice in valuing your instrument.
I've been featured in TV programmes on the BBC and ITV as a guitar expert and collector. I've worked as technical advisor to film companies, using guitars and musical equipment in their productions.
