PROVENANCE
TRAVELLING SKETCHES ON THE RHINE AND IN BELGIUM AND HOLLAND
From Drawings by Clarkson Stanfield Esq. [Author] Leith Ritchie. Printed in London by Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green and Longman.
Clarkson Frederick STANFIELD (1793-1867) was born in Sunderland, England. Member of the Royal Academy.
From a splendid series which includes views of the major Towns & Cities of Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands (Holland), along the River Rhein. Many depict the architecture of the time in fine detail and are enhanced by the inclusion of fascinating figures, street scenes, coach & horses, animals, ships and  boats.
SCARCITY RATING   5 = FAIRLY SCARCE

CONDITION & REMARKS  Good. Printed on art quality stock paper. Please see the scan.
Virtually all historical & antiquarian items are subject to some normal aging, which is not obtrusive, unless stated otherwise.
SIZE APPROXIMATELY  OVERALL: 7.5x4.75 inches   IMAGE: 5.5x3.75 inches. 14x10 cms.
TYPE 19th century steel engraving, with later hand color (Colour). 
VERSO  There is no text on the back, which is plain.
