GEORGIAN Solid Silver MUSTARD SPOON Hallmarked 1833

This is a lovely rare GEORGIAN solid silver mustard spoon which was made in London, England in 1833 by the illustrious Georgian silversmith, William Eaton at his Paternoster Row workshops. It is in the Fiddle pattern. It measures 4 5/8" long and is almost 7/8" across its elongated bowl. This piece of cutlery weighs 15.3 grams - virtually 1/2 troy oz. It is engraved to the handle with the monogram E.

It is in very good condition for its age with much less than the usual surface scratching than you'd expect for its age, NO splits or repairs, NO dimpling to the bowl - without the usual wear to the leading edge and without the common thinning to the bowl and with NO distortion - see photograph - SUPERB. It is hallmarked on the reverse of the handle with WE, leopard head, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark), s, William IV duty mark showing that it was hallmarked in London in 1833. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. A rare Georgian solid silver mustard spoon from an illustrious silversmith in superb condition after over 175 years!!!! Postage will be FREE both within the UK and to international destinations.
