STORY

Based on Hiroya Oku's sci-fi manga series, GANTZ follows the harrowing exploits of Kei Kurono, a self-involved high school student, and his childhood friend, Kato Masaru, who are tragically killed in a selfless act of courage! Or, so they thought! Instead of arriving at the gates of the afterlife, they suddenly find themselves teleported to an enclosed apartment with other "recently deceased," their actions controlled and overseen by a mysterious, spherical entity known only as GANTZ, and forced to participate in life-threatening missions of unprecedented danger and horror!
