Fylde Octavius Bouzouki played by the Tannahill weavers

For those of you who just missed out on the Fylde mandola which ended recently, here is another beauty! I bought her just over 2 years ago because of her looks AND her history. Being a big fan of the Tannahill weavers, this was owned and played by them. The case is a very strong blue metal Calton flightcase with original stickers of some of the band venues. Part of the leather binding of the case handle has come away, but is easily fixed and is still fully functioningand very strong.

You will see that there is a repaired hairline crack. This was there when I bought it, and I checked that it had been professionally repaired (at Fylde Penrith) and is fully stable.

There are also a couple of very small “character” dings…not bad for an instrument played at the highest level!

Lets be honest here, the instrument looks gorgeous and has a beautiful deep rich tone. It sounds fantastic

But it also has a quality pickup, which makes it sound even more fantastic through my AER acousticube.

I had great intentions to play it as a rhythm instrument, but some of my amateur group members went their own way, and it just never got played.

I am first and foremost a guitarist, and I now have my eye on a Lowden guitar…so I need the dosh.
