The UK postal service (Royal Mail) brought out a set of Harry Potter stamps in July 2007 This summer saw the last instalment of J. K. Rowling’s best-selling series of Harry Potter books. The eagerly awaited Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows hit bookshelves at a minute past midnight on July 21st, and to commemorate the occasion, Royal Mail issued a set of very special Harry Potter stamps. The seven Mint Stamps feature the brilliant jackets of the seven books at the heart of the Harry Potter phenomenon, from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, published in 1997, to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, out on July 21st 2007. Each First Class stamp features the cover of one of the Harry Potter books;
In addition to the seven stamps, Royal Mail also issued a miniture sheet The Miniature Sheet focuses on the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with First Class stamps showing the crest of the school itself, plus those of its four houses; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Sytherin.
This shows a little clearer the stamps in the mini sheet
Altough these stamps can be used and have a posatge face value, they are now collectors items for both stamp collectors and Harry Potter fans You now have the chance to own the seven stamps plus the minisheet comprising of five stamps.
