An outstanding Spelter figural lamp so typical of Art Nouveau Period. It is by French Artist Rancourt and depicts a young maiden with a writing implement in her hand, entitled L'Idee. The lamps overall condition is excellent with exception of a tiny chip to the tip of the original glass shade. The lamp has been re-wired and in working condition as can seen in the pictures below.   It is a very impressive lamp standing 24” tall to the tip of the frosted torchere shade. This is a superb collectors item and very decorative and should be of interest to anyone with a love all things Art Nouveau or indeed the fine sculptures of Auguste Moreau.
