A few years ago now, (probably about 8 to 10) I was given a grandfather clock kit to build. Sadly, it never did get built. The case has long since gone but the movement has been stored in a cupboard and never touched. It has never been out of the packaging, except for me to photograph prior to listing here. It is complete, as brand new.
I must confess I really do not know anything about this product.
It is stamped on one of the parts (hopefully you can see this in the picture) with the following information:
- Franz Hermle
- No jewels
- Unadjusted
- Made in Germany
- 451-053H
- 94cm
- 66.00
Hopefully this will mean something to you!
Obviously it's a heavy item. The winner is welcome to pick it up or it will be packaged as 2 items; the first will contain the movement in a solid crate and the second will be the pendulum in a cardboard tube.
The only sensible place for me to post it from is my Post Office, most likely using the Parcel Force 48 hour service for the heavy item and First Class for the pendulum. This seems the most cost effective way of ensuring it is all appropriately insured. It comes to just short of £25 so I've just added a token amount to cover my own expenses etc.
Any questions, please ask and I'll do my best to help.
