THE PACKAGE
There are two types of ensemble unit - single autographs and group autographs (more than one signature). The FRAME (which is STYRENE glassed and backed + hanging eyes) is either solid wood or modern compound (thickness stated) and a sample of the actual moulding is displayed in the bottom or top corner. All professionally cut, acid free, COLOURMOUNT board is charcoal black ? to enhance photograph. The autograph is copied from an original signature, the scanner picking up delicate inflections and tones with the high-grade paper and different inks used ? absorbing the characteristics of when it was signed. All our units have the celebrity name printed next to the autograph and the film title and year where appropriate. This is optional ? please let us know if you have different requirements.
NOTE: Due to the instability of shipping world-wide - we use a special Styrene glass. Although this compound is more expensive than conventional glass ? which is shatter-proof, durable in transit and does not detract from the product ? we advise the purchaser, at some time in the future, to replace the sheet with standard glass (size 12x16 inches ? approximately £2.00 per sheet).
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Celebrity Shadows have greatly enhanced the transition from the autograph original to the reproduced autographic copy. Our technicians have experimented with contrasting inks, including amount levels, various Hewlett Packard printers (Professional Series), numerous scanner systems and different paper textures and surfaces (high grade Daler Rowney watercolour). The process has developed into an almost perfect reproduction. All our scanned autographs are taken from their originals - capturing the authentic feel of that moment in time when it was signed. Many of the range we offer, including single and group ensembles, are unobtainable to even the most ardent collector - even with money and time at their disposal.
