This Sale/Auction is for four different Movie Postcards -
1) Featuring Garfield "THIS SUPERHERO HAS ATTITUDE" from the 2004 movie 'GARFIELD THE MOVIE'. The film stars Breckin Meyer as Jon Arbuckle, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Dr. Liz Wilson, and features Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield.
2) Featuring that famous quote ''I WANT TO BE ALONE." from the 1934 MGM movie 'GRAND HOTEL'. The film starred top star, Greta Garbo who melodramatically delivered her famous line "I want to be alone" in this film. The cast included a series of top names: Lionel Barrymore, John Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Wallace Beery, Lewis Stone and Jean Hersholt.
It is the only film to have won the Academy Award for Best Picture without obtaining nominations in any other categories. In addition, Garbo's line "I want to be alone" was voted #30 in the list of AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movie Quotes.
3) Featuring that famous quote "GET YOUR STINKING HANDS OFF ME, YOU DAMNED DIRTY APE." from the 1968 movie ''PLANET OF THE APES'. The film stars Charlton Heston and features Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter, veteran Shakespearean actor Maurice Evans, James Whitmore, James Daly and Linda Harrison.
4) Wallace & Gromit - The Curse of the Were Rabbit Postcard. Used to promote the 2005 Movie. (Note: This Postcard was designed as a mini standee when folded in half lengthways).
The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a British stop-motion animated film, the first feature-length Wallace and Gromit film. It was produced by DreamWorks Animation and Aardman Animations, and released by DreamWorks Pictures. The film was directed by Nick Park and Steve Box and produced at the Aardman animation studios in Bristol, United Kingdom.
The film followed eccentric inventor Wallace (still voiced by Peter Sallis) and his intelligent but silent dog, Gromit, as they come to the rescue of the residents of a village which is being plagued by a mutated rabbit before the annual vegetable competition.
The Curse of the Were-Rabbit introduced a number of new characters, and featured a voice cast including Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. It was a critical and commercial success, and won a number of film awards including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
