Roberto Luigi Valente was born in 1926, the fourth son of a farming and wine producing family of Frosinine, Piciniso, Antica near Casino and in view of the Abrutzzi mountains.  This stunning setting in which Valente grew up, had a strong positive influence on his work.  He famously painted some of the most beautiful areas in Italy during a career lasting almost 50 years.  This mesmerising oil painting has his characteristic vivid use of colour and vibrant brush strokes.  His work was mainly exhibited in Rome and Napoli as well as at other galleries throughout the world.  Valente was probably one of the most accomplished Italian artists for this type of painting that ever lived.  His style is reminiscent of Turner and Valente has received wide critical acclaim likening him to Turner, one of the most highly regarded artists of all time.  His composition is wonderful and the colouring superb.  This painting is framed and mounted and is ready to hang and would grace any home.
