Practical Classics is a United Kingdom publication that focuses on the mechanical and running side of classic car ownership. As such for the main part get articles on stripping down brakes, fitting wide tyres or bodywork modifications, right up to full restorations. The articles are written by people that generally actually own the cars shown - as such they encounter the same problems that you or I would when working on an older car. As such many people use these magazines as a supplement to a workshop manual - the features sometimes fill in the blanks of a manual! The articles are well written and interesting, plus the photographs are not as arty as some of the magazines tend to be - here you can actually recognise the cars or components!
