Q what to do when the vehicle has a tow bar?
First fit the electrics, and test that all is O.K. then stick on the sensors with blue tack, this way you can move the sensors until there is no interference with the tow bar. The signal comes out of the sensor at 70degrees so allow 90 degrees and it should clear the tow bar. Also all our sensor are wedge shaped on the back so you can turn them to direct the signal away from the tow bar
Q. Can the sensors be colour coded?
Yes, you will need to use a plastic primer plus two top coats only spray not brush, or we can do the painting for you.
Q. I have a 4 x 4 with a spare wheel on the rear door can I fit this kit?

Q Are these sensors suitable for a Pickup, Van, People Carrier or Estate car?
Yes, you will need to locate the CPU in a dry clean place, if the sensors are to be fitted below 450mm then put them in upside down so that the face of the sensor is angled slightly upwards
Q. Can I use this kit on the front of my car as I already have sensors on the back?
Yes, but you will need to fit a switch so that you can turn them off when you are in traffic as they will be on all the time.
Q. Can I fit these sensors to a Caravan or Horse Box?
Yes, use the spare connector in the hook-up to fit the buzzer in the car
As with all the Parking sensor kits do all the electoral connections first to make sure that all is well and there is no interference with the cars electrics.
When it comes to fitting the sensors, there are three main types 22mm 21mm and 18mm, it is important to identify which you are fitting for if you drill the 22mm hole for 21mm sensor you will have a problem.
First put masking tape on the bumper where you intend to drill this will stop the drill bit from slipping, then mark out the spacing for the sensors with a marker pen, as described in Ultrasonic Sensors, then with the vehicle on level ground place a large setsquare against the ground and the bumper, this will give you the vertical position for the sensors, you are looking to place the sensors 500mm/400mm from the ground, the sensor is slightly angled facing upwards, if the position on the bumper at 500mm is vertical then this is the ideal angle for the face of the sensor, if the bumper is slightly facing upwards then use the 22mm sensor put the sensor in upside down. If you have to place the sensor lower than the 400mm you must have the angle of the face of the sensor pointing upwards or you will get a false reading from the ground, like wise if you need to place the sensor higher than the 500mm you may need to point the sensor slightly towards the ground. If you are not sure, stick the sensors on with Blue Tack and do a test. Always make sure that the sensors are all level and evenly spaced.
Check which sensor you have 22mm, 21mm or 18mm, now take a look under the bumper to see if you have a minimum of 20mm clearance for the sensor to clear the body work, if there is not enough space, first move the sensor along the horizontal to a place where there is enough space, you may need to move it slightly higher or lower but this should be avoided if possible as it can give a false reading. In cretin cases you will need to use a wedge shaped washer to level it we can supply these.
Before you use the hole cutter, put masking tape on the bumper this will stop the drill bit from slipping, now drill a hole with the smallest drill bit you can find about 2mm and check for clearance behind the bumper for the sensor to fit, a 2mm hole is a lot easer to fill than a 22mm hole.
If every thing is ok double check which sensor you have, then drill the correct size hole, using a cuter in good condition, always check that the cutter is in good condition as some times a tooth can stick out and make the hole to big, it is good practise to drill a trial hole on an old piece of bumper first, remember there is no going back, so a little time spent on this can save you a lot of problems.
After drilling the holes there may be a slight bur to the edge of the hole carefully remove this so that there is a flat surface, check that the sensor fits the hole and is not to tight, if the sensor is tight then this can damage the sensor coursing a false reading, if the sensor is to loose then you should stick it in with clear silicone, never use glue.

The warranty is void if the cause of damage or failure is due to abuse, neglect, improper installation, and use other than the intended use or application, accidents or natural disasters.
Return Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with the product, you may return the item within 7 days from the day you receive the item. The product must be in unused, in original packaging and we will refund your payment. The buyer is responsible for the shipping and handling charges for sending the item back. Once we receive the product and have verified that it is unused and in original packaging, we will refund your payment in the same way the item was paid.
