This is a very easy to use variant of the fixed spool reel with a metal covered spool.  The line emerges from the center of the cover when the button on the rear of the reel is depressed.  A drag system is also built in giving all the advantages of a usual spinning reel.  These are commonly used in Canada and USA  as great lure reels and are becoming more and more popular in the UK and Europe.
