What is in the guide?

This guide will give you the required information on how to re-energize and revive your NiCd batteries through the "RVD" process, charging method and charging guidelines, storage, safety, maintenance, rebuilding the NiCd battery pack, etc.

What type of batteries can be revive?

You can revive NiCd (also known as NiCad or Nickel Cadmium) batteries ONLY.
DO NOT TRY THE TECHNIQUE TO ANY OTHER TYPE OF BATTERY.

How much time , skill and tools do I need?

It takes less then 5 minutes to perform the technique. You don't have to be an engineer, if you can jump start the car then you can revive the NiCd batteries. In order to safely perform the technique, you need gloves, safety goggles, electric wire (lamp cord thickness or larger), volt meter (to check the battery volts before and after the procedure, it will also help you to identify the +ve and -ve terminals of your tool battery if they are not marked) and a DC Power Source; It could be your: Car battery, battery charger, other tool batteries, welder etc. The minimum amp requirement is 5 amps. A car battery has 40-45 amp & battery chargers have 5-12 amps. To revive the NiCd batteries from 1.2v to 12 volts you need a DC power source of 12 volts (i.e. 1 car battery). To revive the NiCd batteries from 13.2v to 24 volts you need a DC power source of 24 volts (i.e. 2 car batteries). To revive the NiCd batteries from 25.2v to 36 volts you need a DC power source of 36 volts (i.e. 3 car batteries).
