I bought this car as a CAT C Write off last year with the intention of getting it back on the road again, however the time has come for me to through the towel in... so near the end.
It had been hit on the front wing and subsequently written off as the cost of repairing it with all new parts would have been too high for the insurance to warrant.
All of the accident repair has now been done and it has been submitted into a MOT test. It did fail, but not by much...
Left to do is for the MOT:
1) Emmissions - exhaust seems fine, an oil change and filter change should see this right
2) Rear Brake - the off-side rear brake needs a rear housing and brake pipe fitting. All the bits for this have been bought - I just haven't had the time to fit them in as I've now been doing the back garden and to be honest - I just need to rid it from the drive!
3) Parking Brake Adjustment - once rear brakes done should be easy enough to do.
This is a cracking little motor and runs very well. (Did I mention that I had just bought a new battery for it aswell?). The interior is clean and dry with the only damage to the drivers seat as per the photo. Has a Radio Cassette, Electric Windows and Central Locking. The mileage is 83k, but I have replaced the speedo with a new one, all the old bits are there for the taking.
As it is currently at CAT C, there is no MOT on it or TAX. Once the MOT is done it will need to be taken for a Vehicle Identity Check with the DVLA and away you go.
These jobs should be a doddle for anyone mechanically minded.
As there are no brakes and not yet re-licensed etc... this will have to be towed or trailered away.
I have posted plenty of pics so you can see what it is like. Or drop me an email for any more info, I'll try my best to help.
