This beautiful sculpture has the traditional look, but is hand carved from more earth friendly bone and black stained hardwood. It is perfect to place anywhere you want to add a small accent, bit of interest, or a telling item reflecting your personality: from the bathroom, bedroom, or study to the curio cabinet, mantelpiece, or desktop. Elephants carry a very wide range of different symbolism, from wisdom, good luck, power and carefulness to longevity; and oriental cultures are very respectful of them due to such symbolism as well as its characterization of being a sacred beast. The elephant is one of Buddha's sacred treasures and is thus considered a Celestial animal in Buddhism. The seven delicately carved elephants range in size from 1.25" for the tallest elephant to just .50" for the smallest elephant. The bridge measures 8" long.
