Fender Frontman 25R. Older (better) model. All black.

Hello!

Up for sale is this awesome Frontman 25R amp by Fender!  With Reverb!  Model # PR225.  It's the 25 watt bigger brother of the frontman 15 (which people claim is 38 watts....that is the input power....that smaller brother is actually 15 watts, but it may FEEL like a 38 watter!  So imagine what this monster feels like!)

I think these are superior to the silverface 25R's that are coming out today.  Unlike those newer cousins, this unit has an AMAZING distortion, in my opinion.  Through the 25 watt speaker sounds great by itself, you hook this thing up to an extension speaker, and it RAGES.  You've pretty much got a fully competent half stack without paying the obligatory $500 for a new one!

The clean channel on this unit, as with all Fenders, is amazing!  Not quite glassy, but very sparkly, and even quite WARM!  Yup, turn the volume up to 3 and the amp starts into a slight break up into a nice warm overdrive.  I had to look at the back to make sure this wasn't a class A tube amp!   Speaking of volume, this puppy gets loud QUICK !  At one, it's already pretty loud for bedroom practice.  At 2, I think it can handle band practice, and even a small gig, especially if you're miking up!
