Nude study #6-33 ----------------------
You are bidding on an original, hand made, professionally mounted platinum-palladium contact print signed by Luca Paradisi. New work 2009. The Nudes series 6 is characterized by some digital manipulation, still of course printed traditionally by hand, but with a more contemporary look.
Image size is approx. 9 inch on the long edge, mounted and bevel window overmatted to 13x15 inch with Colourmount pure cotton mountboard (the best in Europe). A larger 16x20 inch mount is available as an option, please see Store under Mounting.
Contact printed on Cranes Crest acid free watercolor paper, hand coated by brush with platinum-palladium and mounted to museum standards. Platinum prints show an extraordinary tonal richness, intrinsic beauty and the longest permanency of any printing process (many centuries).
Limited edition of twenty-four prints only in three tiers, the price will raise at #9/24 and #17/24. After twenty-four prints the negative will be retired and the print will be no longer available.
The print is numbered and signed. It comes with a personalised COA, gift presented and wrapped in wood for best care in transit. Print, mount, presentation and even packaging are flawless and would make the joy of any collector or unforgettable forever-lasting presents for important occasions. Please see here how the prints are mounted and presented.
About platinum prints: When looking at platinum prints on a computer monitor please keep in mind that: 1 - the unique tactile feedback of a platinum print is completely lost. 2 - the long tonal range of platinum is not reproducible even on paper let alone on a computer. 3 - pt-pd prints are on matte paper which reflects light, while a monitor transmits light, hence the contrast is all wrong. Also the bright white surrounding the image totally destroys the highlights. 4 - top quality craftsmanship and materials are obviously only appreciable when you hold the mounted print in your hands. That said, please consider the image depicted as a mean barely sufficient to give you just an idea of what the final print will be.
About the artist: Luca Paradisi is an Italian fine art photographer and master printmaker living and working in Ireland since late 1999. Also available from Luca are his unique printing service in platinum/palladium from your images, and a thorough technical ebook explaining the process. Please see store for more details. Since 2003 his work is being offered at a special price here on eBay, where it has received a warm welcome with nearly 2000 prints sold with all positive feedback, mostly from repeat buyers and art collectors. |
