Dear Customer,

Pack of 10 needles in a hard plastic container - CODE RED

Needle felting or needle punching is the process of creating felt by pushing wool fibres through a piece of felt or felting the fibres onto themselves. Traditionally an industrial technique this process has now become very popular with crafters.

These needles are barbed and allow the fibres to knit together when they are stabbed repeatedly. You simply lay down quite fine slivers of fibre in intricate patterns and the needle felting process means they stay excatly where you want them!  You can also combine needle felting with wet felting by washing a needlefelted piece, when you have your completed design and all the fibres will mesh and consolidate further.

These needle are 38 gauge with a 4 pointed star blade and are for mid thickness wool/fibres to fine fibres (merino 64s, merino 56s, Blue Faced leicester, etc...).

As the needles are quite fine they can sometimes snap, so ensure you always use them at right angles to your felt and they should last a long time!

Please note that I have sprayed the tops of them RED, so that you can easily distinguish between which needles you have in your equipment kit.
