This CD-ROM contains more than 290 fantastic photos of castles in JPEG format which vary in size from 3456 x 2304 down to 1024 x 768.

These images would make wonderful desktop wallpapers

A castle is a defensive structure seen as one of the main symbols of the Middle Ages. The term has a history of scholarly debate surrounding its exact meaning, but it is usually regarded as being distinct from the general terms fort or fortress, in that it describes a residence of a monarch or noble and commands a specific defensive territory. The advent of cannon and gunpowder in the mid 13th century changed the needs of warfare in Europe, limiting the effectiveness of the castle and leading to the rise of the fort.

This is a wonderful collection of high quality images.

If you're a lover of images, a collector or historian then this CD is for you. You can copy and paste into DTP programs or print straight from the disc. Most images will print to A4 with good quality colour and detail. The pictures can be used to complete course work or just to print for pleasure. All of the information on my discs is different; I have no two discs the same; you might get the odd duplication because I am updating them with more information on a regular basis.
