You are bidding on a stunning antique 12s Elgin 15 jewel gold pocket watch made in 1911 which is offered in exceptional condition and with no reserve.
This fabulous antique timepiece features a gleaming gold case which is in exceptional condition with no dents, dings, scuffs or scrapes and absolutely no signs of wear. The back cover snaps tightly closed and opens to 90 degrees on a good hinge and has engraved initials in a scroll design. The inside of the inner dust cover is marked J. Boss guaranteed 25 years which indicates it is gold filled.
The edge of the case is in great condition with no marks or wear. The gleaming bezel houses a superb white porcelain dial which is in perfect condition with no hairlines or chips. It is accented by bold black numbers and black minute markers with red outer minute numbers, gorgeous blued hands and a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock.
The crystal is perfect with no marks or scratches, the bow is present and the crown winds and sets the watch. The gleaming movement is nicely damaskeened and marked Elgin Nat'l watch Co. USA 15 jewels adjusted double roller and serial #16198064 which dates it to circa 1911. The movement tries to run and has a good balance so should only need to be cleaned.
