Here are 64 sky blue Venetian glass beads. They are a type that has been popular in the Indian trade for over 100 years. Some people refer to them as "Padre beads" because of the story that similar beads were traded to the Indians by Spanish missionaries in the southwest. Maybe or maybe not true? the truth is that this style bead was popular in the Indian trade with tribes from all over North America. Chances are good that variations of these beads were even distributed by Lewis & Clark. Even though these were obtained from an African bead trader they were made in Italy and this style bead was traded throughout the world. This string is approx. 19 inches long. This is a mixed variation of these beads. This appears to be a nice older selection but it would be impossible to accurately give each one a date in time. Buyer pays postage and insurance. We will combine multiple winning bids to save you some postage. SEE OUR ITEMS LIST FOR OTHER INTERESTING THINGS. Low starting bid with no reserve. |
